On the Mohs Scale of Hardness, which assesses its ability to withstand scratches on the surface, moissanite is extremely hard on with a score of 9.25 and its hardness is comparable with mined diamonds. The stones are able to withstand wear, heat and chemicals under the harshest environments, making moissanite beyond suitable for daily use.
